The Mallat for president campaign team had been working in Beirut and in New York for an international tribunal for all victims, from Marwan Hamade to date, when Gebran Tueni was assassinated with Nicolas Flouti and Andre Murad on 12 December in Mkalles.

Res. 1644 (15 Dec) acknowledges this request, taken up by the Lebanese government, but requires further work and determination from and with the UN Secretary General and the Security Council.
